Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen obstacles in the process of opening a brand new space, we won’t be reopening tomorrow, January 4th, as originally planned. Despite this, we are still excited about what lies ahead for us in 2010 and we want to wish you a healthy and happy New Year with a sneak peek at what’s to come!
As we get ready to take a giant leap forward in the form of our grand re-opening, we wanted to stop for a moment and take a brief step back to look at what it was that brought Room2Play together to begin with.
We know it has been a while since you heard from Sherri and I, unless you have been following us on Facebook or Twitter.
It’s finally time to play again! That’s right, after months of scaling impossible hurdles and dodging countless obstacles, Sherri and I are proud to announce that we’re officially reopening our doors on January 4, 2010 at our new location: 600 W Cermak.
Visit Room2Play April 22nd, Earth Day, to learn more about Earth Day!
We will have Jen Khatchatrian, Founder of Chicago Green Families and also author of Eco Chic Organizer speaking at 11am about how to engage city kids in the green movement (recycling, composting, water and energy conservation) and what opportunities there are in the city for education, support and networking.
You can build a Plan Toys Eco Home puzzle...
Keli came by today to say hello to Sherri since she was in the neighborhood. Since today was a wonderful day before she could leave I had her accompany me to University Village to handout door hangers for our summer camp.
